ECU Reset

RE: ECU Reset
Two ways. The first way is to get a scan tool and clear the code with the scan tool. This is the preferred method, since it does not delete your readiness monitors. The second way is to take the battery cable of (negative) and leave it off for like 10 min or so and then replace the battery cable, the code should be cleared. This is the unpreferred method because it will delete your readiness monitors and any long term fuel trim you may have. This can cause driveability problems while the PCM gets the fuel trim back. You may also fail emissions if all the readiness monitors are not set.
