ECU reset?

Default ECU reset?

I'm going to install the V2 intake and it says that I will have to reset the ECU? Why? and to reset the ECU I just have to disconnect the battery terminals for a certain amount of time then just replace them right? I dont have to worry about trouble codes or anything?

take the negative battery cable off for about 30-45 sec that should be sufficent then if it does throw a code go get it looked at which shouldnt happen
