Default effects of old gas

I let my girlfriend's brother put about 3 gallons of old gas in my Civic. It was mixed with about 7 or 8 fresh gallons. The old stuff was probably from Spring '08. I figured this would be OK, but my car is giving me some starting problems when it gets cold enough here in Pa (I'm not sure exactly, but maybe below 32 degrees). It's not bad, I just have to hit the gas once or twice to get it going, whereas it usually just starts up really nice. I'm going to try to run it down so it's just about completely empty this week and then fill it up with fresh gas and top it off with some Lucas Fuel System Cleaner, but I'm wondering if I should be concerned with anything else? Thanks,

Andy

You should be fine, old gas just causes low/rough idle. You should be fine after that.

it'll be fine, might just run a little crappy until u fill up and run a little while with some new gas. def use the fuel system cleaner. my friend just bought a civic that's been sitting for nearly a year without moving, it runs but bogs down at low rpms and and threw a CEL(code 43-fuel supply system). with some new gas and some driving its fine.
