Thanks for the advice. I plan on replacing my thermostat this weekend. It's old, and may be slightly inhibiting coolant flow enough to cause slight overheat although guage reads OK. Oxygen sensors probably should be replaced, too; rich/lean fuel mix could cause. And I do have an oil leak I don't know why that would cause a hot-weather only problem to surface.
