i got an engine and don't know what it is. i need help finding out which one it is. it's a zc, the # stamped on it is 7412329, below that there is a 2. i just don't know which site i need to go to to find out which one it is.

 

ask the person where you got it.

 

its a zc. tahts all. is it SOHC or DOHC? VTEC or non-VTEC?

 

it's a SOHC VTECH. the ecu that it has is from an acura ls. isn't there a site or someone out there that could tell me exactly what the engine is? i was told it could be a 1.8 or maybe a 2.0 that's why i'm asking. that's why i put the #'s along with it for the help. any info will be good info ......... thanks

 

I thought that the LS came with a B18B (DOHC)?

 

i had to do that one time. it was for a dodge.
libraries have a Interchange Manual. that info should not be online (at least not taken directly from the book).
check the library for the book - that info will be in there (at least it was for the dodge).

 

The ZC should be 1.8 DOHC...that's the engine I had in my '91 Integra LS about 5 years ago...

 

The ZC is a 1.6 and is loosely comparable to the 86-87 (D16A1) Integra engine.

 

Correct...it was 1.6 DOHC...quick bastard it was! Had only intake, msd, exhaust and some chip when I bought it to earlier owner...chirped 1st, 2nd and 3rd like NOTHING!
