Default Engine

Hey all, I just got my 1997 Honda Civic Si. I have a feeling it doesnt have a di6y8 in it. Is there anyway to tell?

It should be stamp on the front of the block, look down from the distributor side at middle of the block where the tranny attached to engine, you'll probably miss it if it dirty.

So, you have some kid's instant Si rebadge job.

Check the head for a VTEC solenoid because it is also possible to fit a non-VTEC head onto a D16Y8 block or vice versa.
