Fails to Start

You don't need a scan tool to pull CEL codes. You can use the jumper wire method described at the link in my signature.

This happened to me randomly the other day at the bank.
I started it, it started up, then slowly died within like 5 seconds. Then I tried starting it and it would crank and start and then die right away. Then it wouldn't start at all. I sat for like 2 minutes, tried again and it started like normal and I was on my way. No problems since. Kinda weird.

When you checked for spark, did you see bright bluish spark or weak orangish spark at the tip of each plug?

By the way Trust, your problem sounds like a potential main relay problem. If it happens again, turn the key to ON (II) and listen for whether the fuel pump fails to prime.

alright, next time it happens i'll do that
how much is a main relay? i may just replace it for the hell of it. lol

I don't think the main relay is very expensive; however, it also can be fixed by resoldering:

Alright i'll take a look at it tomorrow. I'll probably just replace it though, because my soldering skills aren't the greatest.

what the hell i'm just gonna fix it, i feel adventurous
i'll have to wait until tomorrow night, i think my dad's soldering iron is in his truck and he's on vacation so his car is in the airport parking lot
