Default Faulty brake bulb ! Please help

So I have a 2005 Civic EX. One of the brake lights went out, so I changed the bulb and it still doesn't light up. I asked someone if it could be the fuses but he said that both lights would have gone out if it was a fuse. Any ideas guys ?

Are both brake lights and the brake light in the windshield out? If just one brake light will not work after replacing the bulb, i would check the wiring to the bulb. It is also worth checking to see if you have power to the connector that hooks up to the bulb.

Had the same problem once. Bulb was good, no fuses were blown. Had the wiring checked, and it turned out it was disconnected. Had it spliced and rewired, problem solved.
