Default filling holes

I took the front plate off my Civic a few weeks ago when I got tired of it spoiling the view of my front end. As I suspected there's a hole from where the plate mount was bolted into the front bumper. As awesome as it is to drive around with a hole in the front of my car I'd like to patch it. I've done some research and it seems to me that welding it is the best option. However, I no longer have access to welding equipment. I hear Bondo doesn't work well for filling holes so what would you guys suggest?
