Default Flashing cel after abuse

Ok lads, hope I’m not wasting your time here... I just did a 0-140kmh wide open throttle pull (05 civic d17a1 auto) , and I only stopped because all of the sudden there was a flashing CEL in my face... so I stopped quick, shut her down and boy, it smelled like it was on fire. Popped the hood and the exhaust manifold (stock) was glowin a dark shade of red... no flame tho so I hopped back in and cruised gently for a few minutes to cool it down. When I started it back up there was no CEL, one thing to note is when I pulled over after it started flashing at me the idle was about 400 rpm (normally about 700) but it didn’t sound like it was misfiring.. being that no light came back on I’m not too worried,(running fine now) but basically I want to know if it’s normal to have a flashing CEL when you abuse your car to the point of a glowing manifold... I don’t have a code reader, that’s why I ask.
Think I damaged something, or forget about it? Thanks guys
