Default Flickering brake light after brake pad change

I just changed the brake pads on my 96 Civic and was told I should bleed the brakes a little to compress the piston. I have been keeping an eye on the brake fluid resevoir and it is still topped off. But now whenever I accelerate the brake light comes on. It turns off as soon as I press the brakes. I read a post saying it might be low on brake fluid but it doesn't look like it. Any ideas of what could be causing this?

In the lid of the brake fluid reservoir, there's a switch that is controlled by a float. Check the float and switch.
