i don’t know why but I volunteered to change a head gasket in a 2007 Honda Civic 1.8 that a friend of mine just bought. Well, I know why. Because she’s smokin hot. That’s why. Lol. Anyway, I finally got the head off and I noticed something in the space outside the combustion chamber. Here’s pics. Hopefully someone can tell me what if is.

 

no idea here but how long has that head been off? i dont remember if it was year specific but i recall the 1.8 having issues with a cracked block or head or something of the sort. hopefully a nice figure hasn't gotten you into biting off more than you expected.
