Default Fuel Pump

I want to do some wiring, so before I go ripping stuff apart, I wanna make sure of something. The fuel pump is in the gas tank, beneath the rear seat, is this correct? Does anyone know which color of wires are for the fuel pump?

Edit: BTW, on a 7th gen LX.

im pretty sure its under the rear seat. Check the owners manual for the wire colors, it might have it. A haynes manual will DEFINETLY have it.

I haven't had a chance to buy a service manual yet, so I was hoping someone could tell me that already has a service manual.

(I've been looking on eBay, and all I've seen was Haynes, but I heard Chilton was better.)

Can anyone else confirm that the fuel pump is under the back seat in the tank?

I think that they all are if you think about it. They spare is in the trunk, and the passenger foot boards can't hold a gas tank, so that leaves under the passenger seat-last part unchecked in the rear. If you can jack your car up you can see the gas tank straps. that should give you a better idea of where it is located. I would put my money on that area there under the seat.

Yo ngoti8tor your fuel pump in under your rear seat. If you lift that puppy up you'll see some wires going into a metal plate in the middle, unscrew that and your fuel pump in right there.

In the long run it's usually easier to just drop the gas tank...

Thanks guys......that's all I wanted to know.

I don't wanna take out the fuel pump or anything, I just need the wires going to it.
