GAS GAUGE
DONT KNOW IF IM PUTTIN THIS IN THE RIGHT SPOT SO SORRY. BUT MY GAS GAUGE SAYS FULL ALMOST ALL THE TIME THAN I HIT A BUMP OR EVEN ON ITSELF IT GOES TO WHERE IT SHOULD BE THAN SHOOTS BACK UP TO FULL. WHAT WOULD BE THE PROBLE THAT CAUSES THIS.
im guessing its you fuel guage sending unit or the float isnt working properly in the tank its either stuck of full of fuel they get bad sometimes you could look into replacing it check prices at the auto parts store.
It could be that there is a broken wire. That would be correct if a full tank send a 0V signal to the guage. In that case, you would have to track the voltage from the tank and see where you get a reading of 12V.
Just curious if the low fuel light works normally. If that light works then the Fuel gauge sending unit is working and it could be a wiring issue. If that light is not working with a lo fuel level then you've isolated the problem to the sending unit. If it was a ground issue then you'd most likely see a problem with the fuel gauge, Coolant temp, Tach and Speedo.
