Gas Light Malfunction

With the key on, ground the wire back at the tank and the light should come on. If it does, the sensor is the problem.

This is definitely the best idea because, if the bulb lights, you have ruled out a bad bulb and a bad low fuel indicator light wire.

Yeah I checked it today, the bulb is fine and I even tried swapping the bulb for one that I know works like the trunk light and it still didn't work, so it must be the sending unit... unfortunately not what I wanted to hear but oh well... I guess I get to make an appointment to have it fixed since classes are about to start again and I won't have much time to work on her for a while. I am going to change the fuel filter tomorrow after work and hope that it fixes the starting issue I've had; here's hoping! Thanks again guys,
