Default GAS PEDAL

I Recently bought a 97 civic Lx. 100k Mileage.

when i press the gas pedal it's not smooth. I had to press little hard. sometimes it gets jammed and when press it hard the car just Zooms..

I am Quiet knew to Cars. This is my first car. Is this a minor problem ? What will be the possible remedy.

thankyou.

you mean "NEW" to cars right? lol just giving you a hard time. But i used to have that problem with my old Eagle. Try to make sure that everything is well lubricated down by the pedals.

If it is sticking just when you first start to go off of idle, you probably just need to clean the throttle body and throttle plate. Sticking throughout the range is likely going to be the cable from the gas pedal to the throttle body.

If you are that new to car... it probably means you'll get used to it. I did the same, my girlfriend did the same.. Actually just trying another car (one that she never drove) makes her do the same thing..
