Gay gay gay!
ok so i just put in a jdm H22a and its being really gay.
1) idle is staying at a high rev. and we when we mess w/it to a good idle it surges really hard.
2) changed the TPS..didn't seem to help any
3) when im driving and i clutch it stays at high RPM and doesn't go down intill clutch is fully relased and im shifting into next gear.
4) its just gay
5) its making a super loud noise..sounds like a damn S/C is sitting under my hood.
6) i think the super loud noise might be my dizzy. Not for sure.
7) when i give it gas it hesitates like it doesn't have enough fuel getting to the junk and its really studdery then when i give it enough, thats when it will actually get up and go.
8) number 7 might be the cause of bad dizzy and not getting enough spark..not sure.
ok I need help on the idle part, #'s 1-3, 5,6,7
pleeaseee help me and its throwing a CEL 14
ok so yeah i need help..b/c its dumb and pissing me off.

1) Idle surge can becaused by a number of things. Vacuum leak, faulty FITV (if that motor has one), IACV, bubbles in the coolant system, etc etc etc.. Make sure you dont have any of these issues before you procede. Search for my (Idle Surge Issues) thread, lots of info there
2) Did you recalibrate the TPS when you put it back on? If not, you'll need to get a multi-meter (I got mine for 20 bucks at Napa), probe the middle wire on the tps, and measure it's readings at WOT and closed throttle. Should be 4.5 and .5 respectively
3) Once you figure out the surging issue, you'll need to set the idle. Do that, and then set the ignition timing. Once those are done, this issue should go away
4) you're gay
For the rest) Did you put all new plugs and wires on? If not, do so, when doing a swap you shoudl always give it a full tune up. Be sure your plugs are gapped correctly, run NGK plugs and wires, and a new cap and rotor for the dizzy might not hurt either.
Good luck
