I had the exact symptom as you did. I was working with a local garage and we replaced many items: plugs, air filter, fuel filter, wires, fuel injector/fuel pump relay and finally determined to be a bad computer! New one from Honda was $700, found a used one for $100. The big clue was the "check engine light". Normally when the key is turned to the on position, the light comes on for two seconds and then goes out. When it wouldn't start, the light stayed on. The garage had some troubleshooting flowchart that led them to that conclusion. My 17 year old daughter is now happy. Hope this helps someone out.

These parts are SO much more expensive than my 69 Mach1....

a coil for 50-75 dollars...you have to be kidding me.
lol off topic i have a honda civic dx hatchback with a blown coil. and lol @ 75 dollars for a coil, autozone in colorado here tax 60.99 and 80 something for a coil. thats why id go to a junkyard and lift a coil and put it in my pocket. ******** pay anywhere free to like 100 dollars for a junked car and sell all the parts at high prices making maybe almost 5x much money they paid to get the entire car. lol but thats not gona encourage me to get rid of my civic for a car with cheaper parts. ill just go about my "ways" of getting parts lol. oh not to mention i paid 75 dollars for a igniter unit that "autozone claimed was bad" when it was originally my timing belt slipped out of time... fucc that
