Default headlights? and my heater

allllrighty my latest problem is i will be driving along and my headlights seem to be pretty dim when i am sitting at a stop light but when i rev the engine the lights get brighter. same thing happens with my heater. when idling barely any warm air comes out but when driving plenty comes out. i assume the heater is just because of the belt so no big problem. but the lights on the other hand... they are pretty bad. is it a possibility that maybe my alternater is going or maybe time for a new battery?

If you have one near you, AutoZone will test your battery and alternator free of charge. I agree with FlipHKD720, your alternator likely needs to be replaced.
