Angry headlights/tail lights electrical issue

couple days ago i had to replace my water pump and shortly after i realized that if i turn on my running lights they all come on, front corners and all the back lights, but as soon as i turn on my headlights they come on but all the other lights around my car and the dash lights shut off. the water pump was spraying a little bit of water up before getting replace but im not sure if that somehow caused a short or if this is something else. Any help would be much appreciated

That almost has to be the light switch, If it happens at only one corner of the car it could be a bad ground, but all around suggests the switch is cutting the power. Test switch with a meter or jump it. I think it's just coincidence you're having this problem about the same time as the water pump.
