Default Help with "light-on signal" connector for radio

Hi, I've finally gotten all the connections wired up to my new car radio except one wire.

In the manual (for a '93 civic dx), the red/black wire is for the "light-on signal".
What does "light-on" mean?

My car radio's wire set has two wires leftover labeled "power antenna" and "panel light".
Are "light-on signal" (the wire on the car) and "panel light" (the wire from the radio)
the same things?

I think "panel light" means the dash light dimming...

thanks for the help.

My best guess would be that the "light on" signal wire recieves a signal from the headlight circuit to tell the radio that your head lights are b/c sometimes the lights on the radio change when you turn the headlights on. Like on my mom's accord whenever you turn on the headlights the display dims.
