Default help, 1.5 d16 wont start 92 lx

i have a 1992 honda civic lx, with a 196k on it. apparently it was running strong. it was parked 2 months ago due to tires and now it wont start. ive been through heads and tails trying to figure out why it wont. its tight when starting trying to start, squeals a little. it has a new battery, grounds have been checked, injectors i believe are clean, ive pulled them and cleaned them and put it back together. there are no codes being fired off the ecm. im getting spark at every plug. i pulled the top, no valves are broke or bent and the rocker is good. oil is flowing smoothly. fuel filter sounds like its working, and i think im getting gas, plugs are wet, so im pretty sure its spraying. its firing after i crank on it. its not so much of a cher cher cher... it starts off at a chug chug chug trying to start, then it seems like it will skip like its trying to start, but the baby just wont completely come to life. main drive belt is in good shape. i suppose it may be the distributor, but im getting spark. i need some help. i dont know what else to do..

Have you checked whether the timing belt slipped causing the cam and crank no longer to be synchronized at TDC1?

Probably wouldn't hurt to check your main relay with it being a 92. Have you checked to see if your fuel pump is running? It could be spraying residual fuel from the fuel rail, which made it seem like the plugs were wet with fresh fuel. When you had the injectors out, that might have introduced enough air into the system to make it not run as well.

My 92 EX did that years ago. I was away for three months for a summer program and when I came home the car wouldn't start.

Squealing could be your alternator, P/S or A/C belts because one of those parts has seized. That will prevent the engine from cranking fast enough to start.

Thumbs up

it runs fine... i figured the initial squeal i was hearing was from the cylinder wall was dry. after it started the squeal went away. its starting to get cold where i live and it takes that extra crank to get her started. but it runs without any complaints whatsoever. thanks
