HELP
We tried to switch axels on my car last night, but we couldn't get the axel nut off. It's the nut in the center of the wheel. We tried everything last night, we broke two socket wrenches last night using a cheater bar. we also tried to use and impact wrench at 120 PSI i think. The stupid thing didn't even budge. we soaked in WD40 and nothing. any suggestions?
Get an oxy-acetylene torch and heat the nut up red hot, cool it down, then heat it up again and try an impact gun or a large Breaker bar. A friend in the car holding the brakes helps too. It's possible the air tank you're running off of is just too small to provide a decent amount of power to the gun even at 120 psi.
