Hey everyone I'm a new Honda owner I have a 92 civic Si on the block it says my engine is a D16A6 but it doesn't look like any A6 i've seen else where. It looks like it could be a DOHC. Can anyone help me figure out what it is or if it is possible to put a DOHC head on an A6 block. Please help...

take the valve cover off - then you will know if you have a dohc

 

Yeah mate i knew i could do that but I'm kinda worried about taking things off and then the availabilty of gaskets and things to put it back together. I was more wondering if anybody knows of this head change being done before. Would a pic of my engine maybe help???

Thanx Marty my engine is definatly the second pic with the DOHC but it has D16A6 stamped on the block so how will I be able to find out what head I possibly have. I want to start chasing some more horses but can't until I know what I'm getting.

you have a dohc d16a6 which came in the year 88-89 acura integra's. the jdm version of this motor is called a ZC. you have a DOHC head
