Default Help!!!Near Colision, brake light stays on!!!!

Hey, I just had a near accident that forced me to slam on my brakes and vear off to another street/ make a right going around 40.

Some a hole just cut me off and hit the brakes cause another car was going to my lane ( that person signaled) so I hit the brakes hard and knew i'd still hit em so i made a right and i was perfectly fine except for my brake light stays on now and my ABS light flashes on then turns off

Whats going on???? any ideas? I disconnected my battery thinking maybe this'll reset it?

I mean why would my brake light stay on now after that and my ABS light flash?
I checked my brakes and they're not "locked" or anything the brakes work fine I drove home and everything...

PLEASE help!! do i need to have a mechanic look at it?????

look at your brake pedal follow it up under dash there is a button the pedal when released pushes in. the little grommit prob fell out of the pedal hole.

^Well, the grommet probably broke. Either replace it or replace it with a short bolt+nut.

its a 2min fix, your brake lights are going to stay on and it will run your battery dead, also you take a chance of getting a ticket, or another accident.

It's probably illegal to drive like that, and it will kill your battery anyway if left like that for even a couple hours. (I know this from experience)

You don't have a small nut/bolt laying around?
