Help please. bad knocking
2012-06-04_16-41-45_274.mp4 video by CloudMage - Photobucket
its a video or a running 1995 civic dx (hatchback) automatic..
my girlfriend went though a flood and stalled in the middle, restarted it. then drove home, it instantly restarted and still dose. i pulled the spark plugs to find oil lots of it in the plug houseing. i got it all cleaned out pulled the plugs and blew the clynders out with air. i also turned the motor over after adding a small amout of wd 40 to help remove the moisture and lub the clynder walls.
about a year or year and a half ago i rebuilt the top end. only thing not replaced was cam shaft and timing chain.
i have no idea where the oil in the spark plugs came from there was alot in each plug hole. im lost on where to start next any ideas?

That oil doesn't mean anything, it just leaked down past the seals around the spark plug tubes in the valve cover.
If water got sucked into the engine through the intake, a rod could be bent. If water got into the crankcase it could have replaced the oil and caused bearing failure.

might be bad rod bearings if you haven't kept up with the oil. That's what happened to mine a few years ago, now I check oil every week no problems.
I had an oil leak and it leaked enough between checks, at the time was 2 weeks since I did check it, kept hearing rod knock. Eventually got louder and louder where it needed to be fixed asap. If you're hearing it, don't drive it anymore.

Yeah I would do what MK said. Let the car sit overnight so the water will be at the bottom of the pan and easier to spot when you first pull the plug.
If the oil wasn't 1/8th over the top mark when you changed it then you prob have some water in there causing the reading to go up.
