I just had security system installed on my new 05 honda civic hybrid today.
Drove it a few times today and everything was fine.
Just now i went to go to lunch at work and my ignition will not turn.. its locked....
I tried my vallet key and it did not work either.
can anyone help me please because i have no way home after work is over.

 

Your alarm probably cuts power to the ignition. Thats what mine does. try disarming the alarm before you turn the key. push the button on your remote if you have one. good luck! hope this helps!

i tried all multiple combinations of turning off the alarm. the led light quits blinking and still the ignition is locked.
really think im gonna get screwed cause i dont know what to do.
have no ride and dont have owners manual with me.

 

k, i hope this helps, but it may make you feel dumb. it did me when i learned it the hard way, but put the key in and try to turn it, then turn the steering wheel back and forth while twisting the key. it should turn. the steering wheel lock will hold the ignition in place if its locked just right. good luck, if its not that, it could get expensive.

 

same thing happened to a friend. it was just the wheel lock.
