Well after much work I found out i need to replace the tranny, so I bought one and the clutch kit etc. I know how to remove and install it and will be assisted by a friend, but I'm wondering if it's even possible to do it with a jack. The tranny for the d16y8 is fairly small, I was wondering if maybe it's possible to lift the car about a foot and pull it from under or above the engine bay without having to remove the engine
Anyone have any experience with this? My issue of course is I won't have a car lift and am too cheap to spend 600 dollars to get somebody to do it at a shop
