Default Honda Civic 2005 Lxi

Mine is a Civic 2005 Lxi with manual transmission. it has run so far 181,000km. About 6 months ago, it suddenly reduced the pulling and became sluggish. Spedo meter did not go beyond 100kms and the engine showed strain when accelerated. i took the car to my mechanic and after a short drive he said that the clutch is having a problem - the disc has worn out. he did some adjustments by opening the hood below the stearing wheel (just above the pads) and the car returned to normal performance. since then, i found a very low pulling in 1st and 2nd gear and guess this is associated with the clutch disc.... not sure...

lately i had to park the car idle for around 40 days and the only thing done was that my brother started the car once in a week just to make sure that the battery does not die. when i drew the car after 40 days, to my very surprise, it was so smooth and pulling so beautifully in the 1st and 2nd gears and i felt like i am driving an accord...!!!

yesterday, i was caught in a big traffic in the highway - so many stoppages and gear changes and unfortunately to say my car has gone back to the previous stage... movement in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears are not that impressive....

i am also having a problem with the gear - sometimes i find it very difficult to shift to the 1st gear - it does not fall easily and i have to give several attempts...

hope somebody can help...!!!
