Hood latch broke! Cant open hood now!

Default Hood latch broke! Cant open hood now!

hey guys, the other day a friend of mine came over to look at my car, so i went to go pop the hood open and the latch simply broke off. stupid cheap plastic honda parts! so anyway, how do i go about getting this fixed? do i take it to the honda dealership here, or to a local shop? It's not a big issue right now but soon im going to have to change the oil or adjust something... help please!!

if you remove the plastic kick panel the cable goes there right there, you can get to the actual cable it self (metal braided wire) just grab it with some pliers and pull and your hood will pop

i guess were in the same boat, my cousin broke mines off last week !!
yah i jus keep a pair of pliers in the glove box.
i would try the dealership tho...good luck

if you cant find a cable to take off at a junk yard then go to the dealer and just buy the part. It is not hard to replace at all.

haha good eye there, 90civtegra. and thanks, i'll try the dealership tomorrow and also the junk yards. I just dont understand why they dont make the whole damn thing metal??? o_O
