Just do like a2b said...

Ground your horn to any bare metal.

Run your power line from the horn through your firewall and to a switch. Attach a fuse (15A) and then connect to the fuse box.

Got to it finally today. Mounted the switch into one of those little pop out tabs next to the e-brake. Ill probably still get rid of it after the inspection even though it was a clean install. haha

my question is for ron j, my horn works(from testing it directly to the battery) but not with the switch from the steering wheel i have cruse control, but i don't have the cruise conrol system pluged in(don't have the module), could this be why it doens't work? i see from the diagram that it passes through there?

The horn can work without cruise control. Have you checked the horn fuse under the hood?

ya number 52 right, ya checked it looked good and replaced it anyways still nothing, where is the relay located? probable gonna hard wire a switch, thanks for your help though much appricated

I would think the switch on the steering wheel or the clockspring is the problem, but this diagram shows you where to find the horn relay:

thanks so much, already replaced the clock spring, but it was the relay so now it works, your the man RonJ
