how do i clean iac?

how do i clean iac?
My car has been having idle problems lately, it does not stall, but drops to 400 rpm or lower sometimes at red lights. I figured the easiest thing to try would be the iac motor.
can anyone tell me where to locate and how to clean it?
and does anyone have any other ideas that might solve the problem? Im also going to replace the pcv valve.
*edit: the problem started shortly after i installed my header, I had to do an LX to EX cat conversion. I have tried resetting ecu 3 times and no luck. could this problem result from damaged or dirty o2 sensor? I was pretty careful with them, but I rested it on the pavement for a minute, i thought it would be fine*
