how to get alternator out?
My mechanic pulled mine out from the bottom (stock alt). When i got a higher amp alternator, it was slightly bigger then the OEM alt, so he had to take out the axle to make it fit. You should be able to slip out the Alternator without removing the axle.
OMG WOW, how did I miss this one? I think it's three or four 8mm screws to remove the fender cover. :X Cmon guys, u can do a transmission drain & fill with the car on the ground with the fender cover removed on the pass side. Ehehe.
After spending over an hour last night trying to remove the alternator. I took 94civichatbacks advice and removed the heater hoses and it came right out...total of 10 minutes....once again thanks 94civichatbacks

i didnt have to remove the axle, just remove the lower alternator bracket held by 2 bolts and then you should have enough space to take it out from the bottom of the car. it was a PITA though
