How to get crankshaft pulley off??
Well guys I pulled the engine up as high as I could get it. But since the corner of the threads broke off there was no way I was able to drill and retap it. I did the the absolute most last resort that I would have done and that was to leave the bolt out. Which is the bottom right one. I smeared tons of RTV sealant around that part and some around the rest of the waterpump. From the outside it looks to be sealed with only the three bolts in there. But I guess we'll see tomorrow when I finish it all up. I'm praying to god that its sealed because my pockets are empty and there's no way I could afford another engine.

dam thats bad...... i hope it holds for ya....
but worst case scenerio is youd have to just pull the motor and drill and tap the hole alittle larger.
when i replaced mine i broke one of the bolts because my dumb @ss didnt read INCH pounds. and my torch wrench only does foot pounds... WOOPS
at least it was a clean snap and it only took a simple turn since the bolt i snaped went right out the back side of the block.
what i would do now is leave the top timing belt cover off that way you can keep a good eye around the belt to see if it leaks any fluid... if it does i would stop driving the car! and drop the motor out to drill and tap.
at least droping the motor out isnt really hard. just alot of little things, linkage, axles, fuel rail, wires and such.

Ya I finished it up today and drove about 15 miles so far and no leakage yet. I had enough room when I pulled the engine up out to drill but the corner of the threads (piece of the engine) snapped off so theres no way to drill and retap. But I will take that upper cover off to keep an eye on things. I'm hopin it doesnt leak. Bein 19 and in college is a bad combination for someone to be saving money lol. So if the engine was in need of replacement, I guess it would just sit and i'd drive my gas guzzling lifted truck until I could get enough money. It only took about 2 hrs to get the engine up and ready to come out so ya your right when you say its pretty easy.
Its that bottom left one, right above the tensioner bolt. You see how on the bottom of the hole it looks like a half moon? (that rounded area) Well that snapped off when I tried extracting the bolt. I tried drilling and a tapped it. But there's not enough threads for the bolt to hold. I RTV'd the **** out of it and used the seal it came with. Then I put some rad & block sealer into the system. I just hope it good. But I have no problem with pullin the engine again, its just a hassle cause I have work everyday and school at night..
