when i got this car it had a d16z6 swap done however the ecu remains from the old engine if i replace this with a p28 ecu would that mabe clear up my cel? the cel is flashing 6 times sayin ect falt but sensor is new and everything else looks ok???

 

First off, what year car do you have and what ECU is in it now?

 

its a 92 civic not sure of the ecu

 

yeah you definitely need the proper ECU for your engine

 

this i assume will also make vtec work right?

 

If thecar has been swapped to a z6, but did not originally have a vtec motor, then VTEC will NOT work unless they've wired it to do so.
