uh
what kind of noise?
and no, you should not just throw parts at the car.

a video of the noise, posted on photobucket.com and linked in this thread is the best way to describe the noise, if that's an option for you

Yes check and/or replace the transmission fluid. Noise in only one gear is almost certainly coming from inside the transmission. If the noise continues to get worse the only cure is to rebuild or replace the transmission.
