I need help
I've been trying to get my 96 civic running again. And I'm looking at my crank shaft position sensor right now, I need to get it unplugged but the plug is in the most ridiculous spot I can't fit my hand in there and I can't see to fit a screw driver in there to press down on the tab that locks the plug. I feel like there has to be an easier way to get to this plug!! And help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I assume you are talking about the lower crank sensor right? IIRC it is behind the crank pulley (lower corner of engine bay on the driver side). Something wrong with it I presume? I'm pretty sure you need to remove the crank pulley to access that sensor.
I had a 98 Integra (OBD2a just like you Civic) with a "JDM" engine which did not come with this sensor. I ended up bypassing it and the CEL went away. Never had a problem with the car afterwards
