Default I need some help with 2000 civic engine swap

I have two civics they are both 2000 model. One of them is EX with SOHC Vtec and other one is DX SOHC engine. I wanted to install the DX engine in EX. I dont want to deal with Vtec solenoid and all that. Can i just swap the engines and use the DX Ecu in it. Vtec engine is locked and all I want is getting the EX running again.
I will install the EX intake on the DX engine because they look different, Is this swap going to work? or Do I have to swap the wiring harness as well?

You may be able to swap your VTEC head onto the D16Y7 block. Many times though the crank has seized due to lack of oil, the head is still OK.

I know the Vtec head is good. However I dont want to get into all these swapping the head deal. i just want to get the EX running because DX is wrecked pretty bad. My only concern with this swap is, will the wiring harness of the ex work with the DX engine. I dont really care about the performance at all.

yes just drop engine in and swap ecu. everything is bolt up. use the ex intake manifold and exhaust.

sell the vtec head if your not gonna use it, and distributor.

Do you think automatic transmission is going to cause any shifting issues? because DX and Ex automatic transmissions are different If I use the DX computer is it going to shift the EX transmission? Because as far as I know, Transmission computer is built in engine computer.
