ok so i have a stock pipe...new catalitic conv...but im getting the sound that everyone confuses for a aftermarket pipe that makes my car sound like a small propeller plane is in flight..lol i got underneathe and found no exhaust leaks..has anyone experienced this or got any suggestions where else to look...

Are you sure you don't have a hole in the exhause line somewhere? Or perhaps a hole in the muffler?

 

ya thats what i was gonna say, check for rust holes in the muffler.

 

is it coming from the front of the car underneith, it might me a bad dounut gasket..

 

wheres it comin from???? also look at ur tail pipe coming out of the muffler is it coming out or is it loose???? good luck....

 

Baffles in the muffler are gone, probably need a new muffler.

 

a couple buddies of mine also looked at my my exhaust from the cat back to the muffler and didnt find anything...they did however mention to me about looking at the down pipe(?) because it was coming from the front end underneath the car...

 

in that case start the car an (while still cold) run ur hand all around the exhaust manifold and down pipe, its more than likely a gasket.... good luck
