Default Idle flucutates

Hey, i have my lsvtec in a 95 civy coupe. Jdm ls block Jdm gsr head, skunk2 intake mani, greddy evo 2 exhuast , fuel press. regulator , hybrid cold air, etc etc..... The things runs awesome i built it from the ***** up and shes bullet proof. The wierd thing is just recently it started this wierd idle thing. Its doesnt do it all the time but when it does its bad. Its go from like 500 rpms up to 1200 just up and down up and down. Then it settles down for awhile then it just comes back. Yesterday i was driving and it was staling out on me but if you kept it running it ran fine. Like driving it was fine but at a stop sign it would barely run. Anyone have any ideas .....Vaccum lines? fuel issues anything...lemme kno thanks

Could be bad/dirty Idle Air Control Valve, Vacuum leak, bubbles in the coolant...any number of things. Do a search to find some possible causes and start checking them off one by one.

Yes just take off and clean, use spray carb/throttle body cleaner in the air passage. You don't have to do anything with the water passage.

I dont know if this will solve your problem but i have a 95 coupe also, and i had the same exact symptoms, but my cel was on so i checked it and it was map sensor, but all that was happening was the idling problem, so i didnt worry about it till it started to die on me. So i went and got a new map sensorbut still had the problems. To make a long story short i ended up having a fuel pump that is sucking air and then eventually starves itself and shuts off. So now i keep it above a half a tank and it runsgreat and no more idling problems, so i dont know if it was the map sensor or the air bubbles in the fuel!! hopefully this helped you, but it sounds alot like my car!! I think for me it was a combination of both!!
