idols up and down please help asap
i put on the si intake manifold on my d15b7 last night and now it revs up and down at idol. i've double checked all conections. its throwing a cel but i tried to do the little wire thing and count the cel light flashes but for some reason that wont work. if i unhook the battery to reset it sometimes the cel will come on sometimes not when i turn the caron and off. wtf
any ideas please help

Is the EACV compatible with the new manifold?
Did you install new gaskets on the manifold and throttle body? Look for an intake air leak from these gaskets, as well as from the rubber seals of the EACV and fast idle valve. Also double check the vacuum hose connections.

I TRIED TO GET THE CODES IT WONT DO IT. I HAVE DOEN IT DOZENS OF TIMES IT ALWAYS WORKS. FOR SOME REASON IT WONT FLASH THE CEL. IT JUST COMES ON AND STAYS ON AND THE SRS LIGHT CONINUALLY FLASHES. IT IS A D15B7 BY THE WAY. THE SI INTAKE MANI IS A COMMON UPGRADE ON THE CHEAP. OH AND WHAT IS THE EACV AND WHERE IS IT
OK SO I JUST WENT OUT AND CHECKED IT THE CEL LIGHT WAS ON BECAUSE I JUST NEVER UN HOOKED THE LITTLE WIRE LOOP. SO I DONT HAVE A CEL. ITS NOT THROWING ANY CODES. WHAT COULD CAUSE IT TO BOUNCE BACK AND FORTH 500 RPS WITHOUT THROWING A CODE
Now that the jumper wire has been removed, have you checked whether the idle problem is gone?
Given that you just replaced the IM, you likely have an intake air leak from the IM or throttle body. Also try bleeding the cooling system (see manual) of possible trapped air.
Finally, the EACV or fast idle valve might also be dirty or the rubber seals are leaking.

ok so i went home from work last night and did some troubleshooting. i think its my eacv or whatever its called my idol air control valve.if i unplug the connector the check engine light comes on and it idols fine but does not drive good at all. if i plug it back in it idols fine when i first start it then as soon as it gets gas it idols up and down and yes in neautral and in drive(its a stick)
