Hmmmm...
This indicates that the under-hood BACKUP fuse (7.5A) is fine.

Do you have the stock radio?

Do all of the functions on the heater control panel work? If so, the fuse is fine. My recommendation would be that you thoroughly clean your battery terminals, as well as the battery ground wire connection in the engine bay. Also make sure all of those connections are tight.

i think that might be it. one of the cords, i guess u would call it, is kind of frayed. every one in a while i have to play around with it to start up the car. didnt think skimping on getting that fixed would come back and bite me in the *** like this.

That is almost definitely the problem. Replace that battery wire and you are home free.

changing the battery wire will only take 1/2 hour tops!

It probably is the battery connection, but check the fuse also. Someone may have wired the radio differently so it isn't powered by that fuse.

well it wasnt the battery terminal. i dropped the car off at my mechanic on Tuesday and he said it should be ready by today. still not really sure what the problem is but i think he said it was a faulty sensor.

turns out that its was the catalytic converter.
