Default Intrument/tailight/lisenceplatelight not working 1993 civic

on my 1993 civic dx everything was working properly until two days ago the Intrument/tailight/lisenceplatelight stopped working. i check the fuse and it was blown and everytime i replaced the fuze. it would burn out instantly when i turn on my headlights. only my headlights work when i drive at night. the tail lights come obn when i brake. im puzzled now and i dont know wherte to start.

you have a short some where, unplug your parking lights and your tail lights then put a fuse in turn lights back on, if fuse doesnt blow, then 1 by one put bulbs back in till you find which on it was,

Check the wiring for the radio if it's an aftermarket radio. The lighting circuit goes there too.

If you have any lights that are not stock, that wiring would be suspect too.

I think there is a plug in the trunk you can unplug and isolate all the lights on the back.
