i just purchased a supposed high performance speed chip called the pro booster from ebay for $12 off a seller named jerseyphones i bought just for kicks its suppose to give +20 hp instantly by plugging it into the iat sensor intake air temp. sensor. i makes some sense to do this to trick the ecu into believing it get cooler air and what ever else this damn thing says it does but i figured i put this thread up to see what other hardcore honda guys say.

Search the forum for "ebay chip". There's at least one sticky about them. Bottom line is they're worse than useless. Take it out before your cat converter gets damaged. So many other things could have been done with $12.00....

no the point of this is the fact people do this and then really ask themselves what the f*** will this do. i am a tech i am not dumb enough to actually put this on after i read the info that came with it i knew this thing was wack as hell. I am new to the forum obviously but i did think this was an issue to bring up and to warn our fellow honda followers.

haha it's somewhat insane that a 'tech' would consider purchasing a ebay 'performance chip' before reading some info or doing some research on it and think that it somehow makes sense. Just my opinion though

 

Trust: 75 hp????!! $3 per hp. That's way better than a turbo. I'll totally take that! lol

 

if you give me $35, i'll throw in an electric turbocharger
