issue for the week
I like the car a lot. However I like it slightly less right now. I just threw too big of an exhaust system on it. No CAT, and 3" piping all the way back. It's waaaay too loud, and I lost a fair amount of low end horspower and torque. But I'm just going to move my turbo plan up a few months. I think I'm going to order the kit today. I made teh exhaust to plan for the turbo. I didnt' realize how much teh car would be suffering until I get the turbo. So I'm not going to wait till spring. Hopefully next weekend I'll be installing the kit.
The stock one is real nice though. It's got some nice pick up and handles pretty well. I have not taken it to a track, but I do really like it as a DD. I highly recomend it.

is the clear a "matted" clear like a flat (no shine) clear (there is such things) or what does it say on the can and what is it is it acrylic or urethane it does make a difference but i havent seen any clear at advance but our advance sucks horrible the stupidity in there is beyond belief. but anyways have you tried to cut it with some 1200 or 1500 grit sandpaper (sand with water paper not dry paper and becareful not to go through the clear )and then buffed it with a buffer not by hand at 2500-3000 rpms becareful with buffer not to burn the paint just dont sit in one area and let it get hot) thats one option another is sand the area with 1200 grit wet paper and go to your local automotive paint supply and get a aerosol clear there is one i know that ppg makes, and one that 3m has one as well. other than that the only other thing i could think of is to do it with a real clear from a paint gun but that can be a little more on the wallet. or if you did it with that new line that advance offers from duplicolor then you probably wont get it to shine i havent tried it but my buddy did on his street bike and said it was some of the worst paint he has tried. but i hope that is helpful.
then what is it if its fwd... "sliding" and i think even in japan the fwd is still called "drifting " ?
and Apostle thanks my wife is all excited cause i gave her the ok to go test drive one but i am kinda hoping she doesnt get cause then means let mods on the hondas i have now and really want to turbo my 95 coupe ex lol but thanks again

the paint was the duplicolor. arg
i'll try your suggestions. gotta get some cash for a buffer. i'll make a trip to the hardware store and get some wet-use sandpaper
what do you recommend for buffing at a low price?
when buffing, should i buff it with the polishing compound?
(i'm new to this)
3m makes a rubbing compound that is call "perfect" something or another but its like $30 a bottle thats what we use at our shop and buff should be like 60-80 for a decent one. use a rubbing compound not a polishing
