Default Jurking/jutting Civic

So my friends Civic has me confused. Its a 98 LX 5 speed with the stock motor. While driving, the car feels like it slightly jurks or jutts forward from time to time. Its almost like if your driving a stick in kinda high rpms and just completely let off the gas for a sec and then get right back on it. He has new plugs and wires and is about to try a new dizzy. What would cause this?

No guesses? Has a fresh full tank of gas so its not that. Has new plugs and wires. Jutts forward while driving at a constant steady speed.

Yea, doesnt sound like a fuel issue unless you have a short somewhere in the injector wiring. I'd have to guess ignition breakup. Umm he started with plugs and wires? Tell him to replace the dizzy and get back to us.

Is the jutting rhythmic, or random? and do your headlights and interior lights dim up and down in correlation with the jutting?

Kind of sounds like there's some spark knock. I would check the ignition timing.

Are the cap and rotor in good condition?

New dizzy helped it out, not doing it very often now. But it still remains every now and then. So I told him to resand and clean his grounds and see if that helps. The lights don't dim or anything, but they are very short quick juts. Timing will be checked this weekend I think.
