just got a civic,,,got a few questions
I had a 93 LX that my mechanic totaled on the front end(motor is ok) had 215K on it and still would have been going... anyway, then i found a 95 LX .... same color except a 5-speed.. seems to get a little better gas mileage(32-34 maybe?)
but wondering what i can start doing to get more power and mileage.... it is a salvage rebuilt car with only 78K on it... motor seems fine, makes some different noises than my other one but i assume they all make some sort of crazy noises being that old now....
one thing that concerns me is that the powersteering pulley seems to be wobbling like it got bent in a wreck but theres no damage around it... it was all bodywork apparently...it runs fine, really good in fact, i just dont want it to fly off one day..lol I can take the one off the other car but i cant see how to get it off... do you have to have a puller?
I really dont know much about these cars but Ive ben into Mustangs for a long time and want to work on this(my daily driver) as much as possible myself...
any responses would be helpful.
thanks for your time....[/align]

Easiset to just swap the whole PS pump. The pump shaft may be bent anyway.
Also buy some Honda PS fluid from a dealer to top up after changing the pump. A lot of people have had trouble with the seals in the rack after using generic PS fluid.
