Default K&N Filters

Anyone have any input on K&N OEM replacement vs the K&N Typhoon Intake in an 07 Civiic EX (if that matters)? Does the OEM replacement provide any noticable improvement in power or mileage? I know that the Typhoon offers 5.7 HP gain, but they do not say much about the OEM replacement. 5.7 doesn't sound like much, but I am used to V-8s in trucks. Does the Typhoon offer any improvement by itself? I'm just looking to kick the mileage up. If it makes the car a little quicker, great.

Well, don't take my awnser for cash but.. I don't think you'll get much improvement with a OEM filter, just.. better filtering probably. And as for the other one, the complete unit, (Typhoon you said?) you will probably notice a faster throttle response, but no real HP gain..
