I have a 2000 CIVIC SE that comes with a keyless remote. The problem i have is that i can't lock the doors with the remote i can only unlock them. If i turn with my key then i can lock all the doors so it doesn't seem to be a problem with the locking mechanism in general. Any ideas on what the problem is? Thanks.

 

Does the master lock switch on the driver's door also lock all doors?

Is the lock button on the remote possibly bad?

 

everything works in the car the master switch locks and unlocks all doors. I took the keyless remote apart and pressed the buttons on the circuit board but nothing changed. I just want to confirm if this is a faulty remote or if there can be some other problem

 

Sounds like a bad remote.
