Default Lambda Sensor

Hey lads New here and sorry to start with a question,
But I live In Ireland and I was wondering If any of you could tell me the colour code for the lambda sensor or is it a O2 sensor in the states. I no that the 2 of the same colour are the heater wires but I dont no which one is the signal and which is the earth.
A genuine one from Honda is three times the price of a Universal Bosal or Bosch one but the wiring is a diffrent colour to the Civic genuine part.
It's my first jap car so not to used to their parts and every thing seems to be diffrent to European standards as what im used to, Last car was a Alfa Romeo 156 so its a change for a while, It was a pure gusler of fuel, So I swaped it for the civic for a while so I could save some cash.
O ya before I forget it's 1996 coupe 1.6l vtec sohc and the fault code was 41 when I bridged the blue conector beside the ecuand as far as I know its the manafold sensor.
Thanks for your help lads.

GRN/BLK is ground and WHT is the signal for Primary Heated Oxygen Sensor. BTW, some people take offense of using the J*P word.

I think the ECU switches the ground onto the heater (other end of the heater has constant battery voltage) so you need to be sure not to mix up heater ground and sensor ground.
